2025 - submitting TAX AMENDMENT TICKETS
For those who have corrections and amendments that were not completed before the blackout period, it is now time for us to work together through the amendment process.
Please submit ONE TICKET per CLIENT. This allows us to track each client’s issues separately through to conclusion.
There are several steps that need to be completed BEFORE we can generate a W2-c or amendments. If these steps are taken out of order, we will have to back out the changes and start again, and your amendments could be delayed.
VERY IMPORTANT – Please do not make 2025 corrections or adjustments in isolved before your Amendment ticket has been assigned to a member of our OPS team and we give you clearance to do so. Here are the instructions and general workflow for completing amendments:
Submitting an Amendment Ticket for 2025 in HubSpot (ONE TICKET PER CLIENT)
- Department: Amendments
- Priority: Low
- Subject: 2025 Amendment - Name of Client
- Description:
- Name of Client
- Forms that need to be Amended (ie W2, 1099, 941, 940, State UI or W/H, Local Taxes)
- Name of Employees
- Description of the Issue
- Attach a current 8655 for any federal amendments (this will accompany the amendment)
- For Employees requiring W2Cs, attach a periodic payroll register for 1/1/2025-12/31/2025 and the original W2
OPS Team
The OPS team will reach out to schedule a time to work on your ticket with you. If you submit the ticket before February 2rd, they will schedule a time in February and then put the ticket on hold until after blackout.
The OPS Team will
- reach out to review the amendments, and get any clarification needed
- help with payroll corrections and prior quarter adjustments
- communicate regarding the amendments through HubSpot in the original ticket so that the workflow stays in one place
After the ticket has been completed with OPS, it will be forwarded to a tax team member to complete any filings and payments associated with the ticket.
- Once all submissions have been completed, the ticket will be updated and closed
Follow Up
If the Franchise has access to their clients’ online tax accounts, please monitor the status of the amendments to make sure that they are received and processed. Some amendments may trigger tax notices. There may be penalties and interest or late fees.
If the client has issues or receives any tax notices, please reopen and post in the original ticket so all of the history is located in one place.
